The treehouse photos

For those of you that do not know this story, my boyfriend, in his youth, decided the money his parents gave him for living expenses would be best spent on a trip to India.

How did he live in the meantime, you ask? He and his friends built a treehouse in the woods near his college. They also did it just because well, its funny. They were found out, but it took the authorities quite a while.

For those of you that were there, please add to the story if you'd like. I recall something about folks being kicked off campus, and other craziness, but the story changes depending on the person who is telling it. Regardless, here, finally, are the pictures, posted on the internet for all to see. I don't even know who the people are, except Stephen and Steve. If you don't like my titles, get your own Flickr account, beyotches.

Enjoy.

P.S. the Barn (?) in NE PDX has a wonderful band that plays on Friday and Saturday night. Just make sure and get that bluing rinse in before you go. I felt like I was back in WI for the night. You certainly missed a good time, Omega.

I seem to remember scanning those photos, but it's probably one of my made up memories. That treehouse was but a well known 'myth' during my time at L&C. So was Steven's naked protest.

the other guy is antoine. he was an asshole. he never did anything except smoke cigarettes and read nietzsche. he did not help build the treehouse as he was in switzerland all summer, but he was happy to live in it for free. his parents were filthy rich, but he always spent all his money the first week of the semester. the rest of the time, he mooched off us.

years later, after his required stint in the swiss army, he came back to the states and he and steve got in a fist fight.

That's fantastic. Thanks for the gap fillers GS.

Sounds like Antoine needed his ass kicked. I'm glad Steve was the one to do it. Why is Steve the only one that takes care of biz...or are there more stories?

There should be a Char blog. Btw, I tried the Charburger on the way back from the Mountain. Impressively large, with a buffet of toppings, though sadly lacking in substance or taste. Sounds kinda like Char.
