No offense, but it's about damn time.

Armstrong to bow out after Tour

And since I don't care about him, I am exercising my editorial powers and no more comments on this posting.

I just don't think it is very nice to hog something.

Yes, you're the best. ok, now let someone else share the limelight. Quite possibly, there were fantastic bikers out there in the last five years that could have won, had their own struggles in life, were champions, but had to come up second every time.

He has nothing left to prove. Maybe it is just the underdog in me...don't like serial winners (yeah, yeah, he was a cancer underdog....but that only works for the first 2 or 3 wins, then it is just greed).

I guess, though, if the only thing you know how to do well is ride a bike...or Sheryl Crow...then I guess that is all you do.

I understand the sentiment. It might be more gracious to step down and let some others have a try. Still, the best is the best, and, though it may be embarassing for the youngsters to repeatedly get their asses kicked, "its too bad (thier) ass got saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacked."

Jesus knew when to bow out.

You know, the Mayans would have chopped off his head to appease the gods. A word to the wise...never excel at anything...ever!

Right on, now that's the sarcasm I was looking for.

So, I get it...I guess that maybe we only know about LA, not because he is hogging the spotlight, but because he is a darling of the media...which I guess he should be, he's a survivor, he's hot and fit. So, la, de da.

I just don't care about him.
